Welcome!

Hello everyone! My name is Ryan Rainey and I am an 8th grade teacher here at Pittsgrove Township Middle School. This is my second year here at Pittsgrove Township as I previously taught high school in Millville. I absolutely love what I do for a living and hope to inspire some of you to love math as much as i do. I am excited to work with you and get to know each and every one of you better. Education:

As a South Jersey native, it is no surprise I went to Rowan University. I graduated from Rowan University in 2016 with a bachelors degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education. While attending Rowan university I had the wonderful opportunity to observe many different classrooms around South Jersey. I have been in Dudley Elementary school in Camden NJ observing a kindergarten class, Williamstown Middle School observing 7th and 8th grade mathematics, as well as Palmyra High school observing Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. I completed my student teaching at Shawnee High School in Medford NJ. During my student teaching experience, I taught Algebra 1, and Geometry. After my student teaching, I was lucky enough to receive a job at Millville Memorial High school teaching Algebra .My goal is within the next 5 years to be able to go back to school to get my Masters in Education and Stem. All this wonderful experience gives me the confidence to teach you to the best of my ability.

Some personal facts about me:

• I am a HUGE Eagles fan. I have season tickets to the Eagles. Jermiah Trotter is my favorite Eagle who has played for the team. My current favorite player is Fletcher Cox.
• I also Enjoy other sports such as Hockey, WWE, baseball but Football is my absolute favorite
• I played basketball growing up until I was in College
• I "run" on Dunkin
• I have a weird obsession with Crime shows such as Law and Order, How to get away with Murder, Foresnic Files, etc
• Fall is my Favorite Season of the Year
• Halloween is my favorite Holiday
• Orange is my Favorite Color
