What are sight words? Why do we even call them that? Well, sight words are called that because they are just what they sound like...words that we see most often in reading and in writing and the goal is for your child to know them ON SIGHT! Many of these words cannot be sounded out at all and have to be memorized and that is why we need to PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE them!
