To help keep all students healthy and reduce the spread of illness, please review the following guidelines for when your child should stay home from school.

Fever
Students with a temperature of 100.4°F or higher should not attend school.
Your child may return to school after being fever-free for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing medications such as Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin (ibuprofen).
Vomiting or Diarrhea
Should not attend school if experienced multiple episodes of vomiting or diarrhea or when combined with other symptoms.
Students must be vomit- and diarrhea-free for a full 24 hours before returning to school.
Students who are sent home for vomiting or diarrhea may not return the following day, even if they are feeling better that evening.
Contagious Illness or Infection (Not Yet Treated)
Students showing signs or symptoms of a contagious illness should remain home until treatment has begun or they are cleared by a healthcare provider.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
Flu, Norovirus, Strep throat, Pink eye (conjunctivitis), Ringworm, Head lice, Impetigo
Respiratory Symptoms
Students with large amounts of nasal secretions or a productive (wet) cough should remain home until symptoms improve. If they do not improve or new symptoms arise please seek medical attention.
If your child is seen by a doctor for an illness please notify and share any documentation with the school nurse.
