If I apply for a job, how long will it be before I hear back from the County or a hiring manager?
a. Applications will be reviewed once the posting period has closed.
b. Applications for certain positions will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. This will be specified in the job posting.
Who should I address in my cover letter?
a. If you don’t know the name of the hiring manager, please address the cover letter to Human Resources.
If I do not complete all components of my application prior to 11:59 PM on the closing date, will my application still be considered?
a. As long as the application has been submitted by the closing date, it will be considered.
b. However, if other submitted applications are complete, then they will be considered before one that is incomplete.
Can I turn in a paper copy application?
a. No. All applications must be completed online.
b. If you need help with the online application, consider asking a friend or family member.
I applied for a job on another site such as Indeed or Zip Recruiter, will my application be considered?
a. Yes. We will receive your application through Indeed or Zip Recruiter. However, we cannot guarantee that we will have access to all third-party sites.

a. Yes, however we recommend consolidating your retirement accounts as you move to your next job.
What is COBRA?
a. While it can be a snake, it is also known as the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA). This gives workers and their families who lose their health benefits the right to choose to continue group health benefits provided by their group health plan for limited periods of time under certain circumstances such as voluntary or involuntary job loss, reduction in the hours worked, transition between jobs, death, divorce, and other life events. You can expect to receive a COBRA notice in the mail within 30 days of your termination date and will have 60 days past your last day of insurance coverage to enroll.
When do my health benefits end?
a. Health Insurance ends on the last day of the month you were last employed.
