About Me
About Me
Hi Schell family! I am Mrs. Heter, your school counselor. I am so glad to be back for the 2023-2024 school year. Our focus this year is "Level UP! We will be working hard to make connections, collaborate, and communicate throughout the year. I have been lucky enough to be the school counselor at Schell for the past 9 years. This will be my 18th year in education! I have also taught 1st and 2nd grades. I have been married to Mr. Heter for 12 years and have an awesome 8 year old daughter, Siena. We also have a Boston Terrier named Dexter. I love traveling, reading, TexMex, and 80s music.
I can't wait to meet all our new families and continue to build relationships with our current families. As a school counselor, I work with all students providing guidance lessons. We focus on building relationships and developing ourselves with positive character traits . Our lessons involve read alouds, discussions, games, videos, role playing, and other activities. Students also have the opportunity to meet with the counselor in small group or one on one. I am here for parents too! Let me know how I can help you. I'm looking forward to going through the game of LIFE with each and every one of you!

School starts at 7:40 am -->It is most helpful if your child is in their classroom by 7:40. It makes for a GREAT start to the day!
