Chem and Honors Chem, Science Dept. Instructional Specialist

I am a native Texan, though I lived in Colorado for 3 years and Southern California for 2. I’m a mom of 2, stepmom of 2, and my kids go to Murphy, McMillen, and PESH. My oldest is at University of North Texas . I’m also a proud mom of 2 very large and rambunctious rescue dogs. This is my 25th year teaching. I graduated, class of ‘89, from Plano East Senior High, received my Bachelor’s degree from University of North Texas, and my Master’s in Education from Lamar University. I’ve taught integrated science courses, International Baccalaureate classes, Biology, Earth Science, and Chemistry. Outside of school, I love boating, jet-skiing, traveling (especially cruises), and just relaxing and hanging with my husband, kids, and dogs, who are the joys in my life.

The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it. ― Neil deGrasse Tyson

Chemistry and Honors Chemistry - Science Dept. Team Leader

I am currently in my 33rd year of teaching. My first 15 years were taught in the Tulsa, Oklahoma suburb of Broken Arrow. I taught AP Biology, On-level & Honor's Chemistry, and Anatomy & Physiology during my years at Broken Arrow Senior High School for 11-12th grades. I came to Plano in January 2005. I have been teaching On-level & Honor's Chemistry since I joined PISD. I have been married for 44 years, have two grown daughters and 5 grand darlings. Teaching is my "calling" as I love children of all ages. You can depend on my hard-work, patience, and ability to teach difficult material as I believe all students really can learn.

Welcome to chemistry. My name is Maysaa Enaya and I teach On level and Honors chemistry here at McMillen HS. I am honored to be part of such a great team here at McMillen. This is my 9th year at McMillen and my 19th year in the teaching career. I earned my B.S degree in chemistry from University of Jordan in Amman. I earned my Masters in Arts of Teaching Science from UTD. And my Masters in Science from Texas A&M Commerce.

Chemistry is such a great subject as it explains almost everything around us. My goal for each student is not only to learn chemistry but be able to apply their learning into their daily lives and be successful. I have high expectations of all my students and I believe together we can prepare our future leaders.
