COLLIN COUNTY ADVENTURE CAMP - AN OUTDOOR SCIENCE SCHOOL for 5th GRADERS October 12 - 14, 2022. https://www.pisd.edu/Page/3740 (This camp link will answer questions and outline what students will be learning while at Outdoor School.)
We will be asking for volunteers at our Back to School Night. Please go ahead and complete the PISD volunteer background check before volunteering (https://plano.voly.org/)
We will update this website with all of the camp forms and additional information as it is received.
As of 9/02/2022, we are still in need of volunteers for our boys' cabins. This can be dads of boys OR moms of boys. Please let Anitha.Reddy@pisd.edu know if you are able to join us for camp. Thank you!
Please RETURN the completed and NOTARIZED camp forms by 9/16/2022! It is a great learning experience for your child!
Some of the classes covered at camp are: 1) investigating the health of a lake with water samples 2) studying the prairie and deciduous forest ecosystems 3) food chains/food webs
4) astronomy (the night sky) 5) soil erosion and absorption
These are science lessons BEST learned outdoors! We hope you will encourage your child to attend CAMP!!

It's that time of year to send in baby photos of your 5th grader to include in the yearbook and the memory sheets they'll create in the spring! Here are the guidelines:
- Please submit a photo that's high resolution (at least 300 dpi)
- Send to Yearbookmathewspta@gmail.com and include your child's first and last name
- Photos are due by 12/1

Please note, the assignment calendar is updated often. Please check back weekly to see if any event or assignment has been added. Your child will also have access to this website on his/her google classroom. OPEN THE CALENDAR BELOW TO SEE EACH MONTH (AUGUST through DECEMBER).
We expect all fifth graders to:

(CITIZENSHIP) Demonstrate good behavior and attitude by following all directions.
(CITIZENSHIP) Speak at appropriate times.
(CITIZENSHIP) Keep hands, feet, and objects to myself.
(STUDY SKILLS) Bring needed/signed materials on time.
(STUDY SKILLS) Complete and turn in all assignments properly.
(STUDY SKILLS) Be organized by placing assignments/handouts in designated binder tab/folder.
(STUDY SKILLS) Follow written and oral directions and use time wisely.
