The English Peer Tutoring and Mentoring Project sees writing as a social act, sustained by community and life-long learning. As a project, we promote collaboration between students, tutors (who we see as teachers-in-training), and faculty. In this space, students will engage writing as a process where they are supported as they make authentic choices about their work and how to incorporate feedback. By making this a positive space, we hope to provide sparks for a transformative experience for students. We are committed to shaping an intellectual and emotional environment rooted in belonging.
