Weekly Updates and Reminders - 10/9/2026
Please scroll down to read all of the announcements! Mrs. Hawkins will send these to 6th-grade parents, Mrs. Hicks to 7th-grade parents, and Mrs. Harrell to 8th-grade parents.
1. Wednesday, October 14 marks the end of the first quarter. Report cards go home on Wednesday, October 21.
2. Thursday, October 15, and Friday, October 16, are teacher workdays. There will be no school for students.
3. Winter Fest --
Mrs. Richardson and Mrs. Barnes will be presenting the following information starting Monday, October 12.
All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students are eligible to participate in this event.
4. 6th and 7th grade field trip--Camp Thunderbird
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to share information about an upcoming field trip opportunity for our students!
Students received a paper copy of the field trip information last week to bring home. For your convenience, we've also included a digital copy with this email so you can review the details together.
Please be sure to carefully review the information, especially the following:
Chaperone Information: The packet includes details about chaperone opportunities, expectations, and requirements. Please review this information if you are interested in volunteering as a chaperone. This deadline is firm, as this venue is not open to the public.
Important Deadlines: Please pay close attention to all deadlines listed. Please complete and submit forms, payments, and/or chaperone information by the specified dates.
We encourage families to review the materials as soon as possible and reach out with any questions.

5. A note from Mrs. Campbell, our Middle School Counselor
Hello Middle School Families!
I hope your school year is off to a great start! Just a quick reminder for those who may be new or missed my first note: I’m Christy Campbell, your Intermediate Counselor.
My goal is to support your child’s academic growth and social-emotional well-being—and that includes helping them dream big and plan early for college and future success! Building a strong foundation now makes a world of difference.

6. Medications- Click here for the form parents need to take to their child’s doctor.
Medication
If possible, parents/guardians should administer medications before or after school. If a student needs to take medication during the school day, parents must submit a signed Medication Form from the child’s physician. Parents/guardians must send medications to school in a sealed, original container labeled with the following information.
The student’s name and grade
The name of the medication
The amount of the medication to be taken
The time the child is to take the medication
Authorized school staff must administer ALL medication. Students are responsible for going to the office at the appropriate time to receive medication. Parents are responsible for the following: providing a signed medication form, bringing medications to the school, and picking up any leftover medications at the end of the school year. If your child attends an overnight field trip, bring the medicine to the school one week before the trip, and have a medication form signed for the trip.
7. PCA will use Infinite Campus as its SIS grading platform again this school year. If you do not have access, please email adeaton@pinnacleclassicalacademy.com. Mrs. Deaton is our administrator for this system and will assist you if you need help or to create a parent account.
8. PE will be outside often. Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle and an extra pair of shoes. We recommend bringing a small, separate bag for dirty shoes.
9. Every Friday will be School Spirit Day. Students may wear PCA spirit wear tops (athletic eagle logo) with uniform bottoms on Fridays. Please note: Norris Merchandise is selling some PCA items with hoods - these items are NOT approved spirit wear. Per the dress code, students may not wear hoodies or hooded jackets inside the building at any time.
10. Cell phones and all other personal electronic devices (including but not limited to smartwatches, MP3 players, personal computers/laptops, video games, tablets, etc.) are NOT allowed at school during the school day. Any personal electronic device found during the day will be confiscated. Please refer to the school website for the full technology policy.
