Alenia Scism

I am delighted to be your child’s third grade teacher this year. This will be my twenty-third year in the classroom. My history of experience is as follows: 11 years in 1st grade, 4 years in STEM and 7 years in 3rd grade. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Elementary Education from Limestone College and I earned my Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Gardner-Webb University where I graduated with honors. I am certified to teach grades K-6 and I hold a current NC Teaching License.  I have also received extensive training with the Core Knowledge Curriculum. 

I was born and raised in Shelby.  I have one daughter, who resides in SC. She is an EMT and is currently in Paramedic School. I have two fur babies; Oakley and Daisy.
