March 2nd-6th
Math: Students will learn how to break shapes into equal shares. Test will be on Friday, March 6th.
Domain: Students will continue listening to stories about A New Nation: American Independence. They will learn about never leave for tomorrow what you can do today; building a nation with words and ideas; liberty and justice for all; and what do a flag, a bell, and an eagle have in common. Test will be Tuesday, March 10th.
Writing: Students will continue the Informative Writing unit. Through this unit, students will build a solid understanding of how to write to provide information about a specific topic.
Letterland: Unit 25: Students will be able to identify and write words with the sounds ue, ui, and ew. Spelling test will be on Friday, March 6th.
Reading: We will continue Skills Unit 5. This week we will review alternative spellings for /r/ (r, rr, and wr) and /l/ (l and ll). Students will continue to read stories from their reader, “Kate.”. The Unit 5 Reading Assessment will be on Tuesday, March 10th.
