Math: Recognize & Draw Shapes Friday, April 26
Homework:
Reading: 20 minutes each night.
Math: Students will work in their Math Practice workbook (homework). The page numbers can be found on the weekly Newsletter. Please look over their homework and help them where needed.
Spelling : Follow instructions on parent letter in Homework folder (The parent letter should be in the last sheet protector). Keep the current week's spelling homework pages in the back of the folder.
Day 1: Have your child read the circled words (List A, Tricky Words, Review Words) and sentences on Student List to you two times. Sign on the 'Parent' line on the Student List.
Day 2: Your child will use the words from List A and the Tricky Words to complete the Look-say-cover-write page. (Student will be writing each word 3 times each).
Day 3: Your child will write 5 sentences. Each sentence should have at least one word from List A or the Tricky Words. Encourage your child to write interesting sentences with descriptive and active words. Your child should write these down on the '5 Sentences' sheet in the folder and return it in the homework folder.
Day 4: Give your child a practice spelling test. Call out the words on List A, the Tricky Words, Review Words, and the New Sentences. Your child should write these down on the Practice Test sheet (back of the 5 Sentences sheet) in the homework folder and return it in the homework folder.
