10. For the safety of our students and staff during drop off and pick up:

11. Reminder with flu season upon us:

If a student is ill, he/she should not attend school. Please keep a student home in the morning if any of the symptoms listed below are present. If any of these symptoms develop during the school day, we will call you to pick up your student. Keep ill students home until the student has been symptom-free for 24 hours, and/or if they: have a fever of 100° or higher, vomiting or diarrhea, evidence of a severe head cold, persistent cough, or sore throat, or there is evidence of a suspicious rash or other contagious conditions (pink eye, head lice, ringworm etc.). Make sure you notify your student’s homeroom teacher and Mrs. Deaton of your student’s absence and send a note when the student returns to school.

12. Lately, our students have been bringing quite a few blankets and stuffed animals to school. As a reminder, students are not permitted to bring blankets or stuffed animals to school. If your child typically gets cold throughout the day, please send a school approved sweater or jacket (without a hood) for them to wear.

13. Dress Code Reminder: Please remember that students may not wear hoodies or hooded jackets inside the building at any time.  Please make sure that all student clothing, including jackets, coats, shoes, and socks, conforms to the dress code. Please refer to the school  website or see the attachment below for guidelines. If violations occur, teachers/staff will issue a written notice of uniform violation that must be signed by the parent and returned to the school.

Thank you for your continued support!
