Make Up Work
Students are responsible for their make-up work. Each student can find missed assignments on Google Classroom or their school desk. It is their responsibility to locate their work upon returning to school. Students are allowed 1 day to make-up their work for each day they are absent.
If a student is absent on the day of scheduled quiz or exam or the date a written assignment is due, that work must be made up the day they return or at the discretion of the teacher. Grades will be entered as a zero (0) until they are made up.
Late Work Policy
10 points will be deducted each day an assignment is late. Grades will be entered as a zero until the late work is received. After three days, the grade will remain a zero.

Behavioral Expectations:
Students are expected to talk and discuss, deliberate, ponder and think aloud. But this is with an understanding that all discussion is relevant and there is a mutual respect for one another and their opinions. If you do not have something constructive to say, do not say it.
Students must have all materials that are needed, and timeliness is key. You should be on time, and you will always need something to write with and something to write on. In short, be prepared!
Attendance is a must. Every day we are moving forward and covering new information, so make sure to be present! Per the student/parent handbook, students must attend the first day of school or risk losing their right to admission. If a student misses the first 5 days of the school year (excused or unexcused), or is absent 10 days within the first 20 days of school, his/her admission spot may be reassigned. Make sure to be present each day!
It is the responsibility of the student to arrange a make-up in the event of a missed test or project within one week of the due date.
Cell phones are not permitted in the school building. Any cell phones or other personal electronic devices that are found throughout the day will be confiscated.
Above all else, RESPECT is required in all you do. Be mindful, and kind, towards your classmates and the teacher when making comments and participating in the class.
Required Materials:
All students will need the following supplies for this course: pencils, pens and highlighters, notebook paper, a binder (or a section within a binder for this subject), one composition notebook.
