About Me
Hello! My name is Dawn Hicks and this is my 28th year teaching. After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill with my bachelor’s degree, I pursued my Master’s degree in Elementary Education at Converse College. My husband, Jonathan, and I have been married for 28 years and I love being married to my best friend. We have 3 children. Thomas is a senior at UNC-Chapel Hill and a bible study leader at RUF. Isaiah is a sophomore at Gardner Webb University and is playing basketball for the Running Dawgs. Madelyn is currently an 11th grader here at Pinnacle. She continues to play volleyball, swim, and code in her spare time. Teaching students and watching them learn is a true joy for me, and during some very eventful times in our world, I am thankful for another year to teach 7th graders.
