Make Up Work

Students are responsible for their make-up work. Each student can find missed assignments on Google Classroom or their school desk. It is their responsibility to locate their work upon returning to school. Students are allowed 1 day to make-up their work for each day they are absent.

If a student is absent on the day of scheduled quiz or exam or the date a written assignment is due, that work must be made up the day they return or at the discretion of the teacher. Grades will be entered as a zero (0) until they are made up.

Late Work Policy

10 points will be deducted each day an assignment is late. Grades will be entered as a zero until the late work is received. After three days, the grade will remain a zero.

Science Course Objective: In Science we will follow Common Core Essential Standards as well as the Core Knowledge Curriculum. We will use a variety of resources and materials as we work through the standards this year.

Class Rules/Regulations:

All students will maintain a certain level of respect and courtesy towards everyone at all times.

  1. Be on time, on task, and prepared to learn every day.

  2. Respect yourself, your peers, your teacher, and your surroundings.

  3. Silently raise your hand for permission to speak.

  4. Be responsible for your own work.

  5. Follow all directions the first time they are given.

Consequences: We will follow the student code of conduct which can be found on our school website. Cheating is not tolerated in this classroom. Wandering eyes, talking, etc. during a test or quiz will be considered cheating. This will result in a zero and may not be made up.

Final Grades are weighted as follows: Each 9 weeks is 21.25% and Final Exam is 15%
