In this Fusion 360 project, we are trying to make a soap for someone important in your life. In this soap project, you should include some sort of phrase that correlates with the image on your soap. The requirements for the soap are 1.5 inches wide by 3 inches long.
Brainstorm: I was inspired to make this for my swim friend whose favorite stroke is butterfly. In this case, I would like to make a soap with a butterfly on it and the message would either be: "You give me butterflies!" or "I hope your swim career flies high!"
Rough draft sketch of soap
Final sketch of soap
Procedure: To begin I found an image of a butterfly on google, and imported my sketch onto the plane I was working on. Then, I traced the image using the splice tool, and extruded it. Lastly, I added some text onto the extra space around the butterfly. I printed my project using a 3d printer and printed my final product. After we were happy with our final product, we would create a mixture and spread it to create a mold.
This is how it looks before I printed it.
This is my first printed prototype.
This is the final printed product.
This is my mold for my soap.
This is my soap mold.
This is my mold with soap filled in it. We got to choose a color, and a scent. I chose marble blue and vanilla.

Soul Reflection-
S- I think the overall design and use of the splice tool in Fusion 360 went well.
O- The letters on my soap came out alright, but the a few of them got cut out or weren't as visible as I'd liked them to be.
U- I learned how to create a mold for a 3d printed object, and I also learned about how to use multiple prototypes to improve and learn from my mistakes.
L- The text on my soap limited me from having a successful project because a few letters did not come out clearly.
WISCR-
I- I was a critical thinker because I planned out my second prototype so that I increased the size and polished up some problems.
S- I was self motivated to make this because I wanted to make it good for my friend whom I was planning to give it to.
