Description: In a group of three, design and build an automated Skittles dispenser using TinkerCAD, controlled by a Microbit. The Microbit will trigger the dispenser to release 5 - 10 Skittles when prompted.
Brainstorming:
We brainstormed using the desk as the whiteboard and we figured out that we wanted to use laser cutting and that we wanted a clear window, drawer/flap, number keypad (drawn on), and the micro bit.
Procedure:
1) First we brainstormed the design of the project
2) Code your microbit to make the turning gear turn
3) Design the planes of the structure and laser print them
4) Glue the planes of the structure to make the final dispenser
5) Add the acrylic window and all the other add-ons
6) Put the skittles in the dispenser and try your code
7) If it works then congrats you are done!
Reflection:
S- some strengths we had were that I am good at coding, while Mitali is good at printing and tinkercad. Lastly. Arya is good at looks and gluing this together.
O- some opportunities we had to improve was lunch sessions, we also had extra class time. we improved with this give time.
U- I understand how to now embellish my code with music, words, and pictures.
L- some limitations we had during this project was the time we had to do this. We only had one week and a half to do it.
WISCR:
We were very insightful and critical thinkers in this project
