Description: Design and create a pair of animal figurines utilizing recycled bottle corks. We design on TinkerCAD and prototype using the 3D printers. The design process consists of brainstorming, researching, CADding, 3D printing, and repeating until we are happy with our final products.
Brainstorm: I was inspired by a student's corkkpal from the year before, that had not worked out, so I had decided to make a 2.0 of it.
Procedure
1. Pick out the corks and measure their diameters
2. CAD the enclosed rings and test print them to see if the rings fit the corks
3. CAD the design idea/s and print them
Reflections
*Strength of work
I think that I had a good strength of work, and I finished very quickly because of this.
*Opportunities to improve
I think an opportunity to improve would be when I printed the fish, I could've printed the second part smaller and fit better.
*Understanding
I learned how to make things on CAD way better than I had before, and I am much better at knowing how to download my files.
*Limitations I encountered while working on this project
Some limitations were not having different colors, and not knowing whether the measurements where.
Respectful individuals of character: I helped people with their projects without judging out loud (or on the inside), and respected their ideas.
Insightful and critical thinkers: I thought of new ideas and ways to make other's prints better, and mine as well.
