6:45PM - Doors Open

Team manager checks in at registration table when team has arrived

- Notify registration table of absent students/problems
- Pick up Battle Pack (team number on envelope)
  - Answer sheets
  - Score sheets
  - Pencils
  - Programs
  - Raffle tickets
  - Voting slip (favorite books)
  - Team manager’s scoring assignment

7:20 PM - Time to Battle

Battle begins
3 Rounds of 10 questions
Team managers judge answers and after each round scores are turned in to scorekeepers
Scores tallied
If needed, 2 tie breaker rounds of 5 questions
If needed sudden death tie-breaker rounds

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR THE “BATTLE”?

After the moderator reads a question, each team will have 30 seconds to confer and decide upon the answer to the question. The team captain will write the answer and the author's last name on the paper provided and hand it to the scorekeeper. Answers must be complete and specific. Four points are awarded for the correct response and an additional point is given if the team writes the author’s last name (spelled correctly.)
