- 1. Choose one of the following organisms and research how it has changed over time: horse, elephant, shark, or horseshoe crab. Your research should include pictures of the organism during at least 4 different times in Earth's past.
- 2. Draw pictures of the fossils in each layer on the back of your notes.

- 1. On a excel spreadsheet, label each geologic period along the y-axis. Place the Cambrian at the bottom of the axis and the Quaternary at the top of the axis. Leave only one block between each period.
- 2. Label the x-axis to read "Ranges of Some Major Organisms on Earth."
- 3. On your graph, plot the range of each group of organisms listed in the table below. Use a different color for each group of organisms. Label each line with the name of the organism.
