The Orange County Human Rights Commission, in conjunction with SUNY Orange and the Orange County Arts Council, hosted the Annual Visual and Literary Art Exhibit: “An Artist’s Response to Human Rights,” for Orange County high school juniors and seniors.
Every year, the exhibition displays over 200 pieces of artwork by Orange County students, illustrating one of the Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as adopted by the United Nations on December 10, 1948. It provides a unique opportunity for students to express themselves on the importance of human rights in today’s world. Art was on display in December 2025, at Orange Hall Gallery, SUNY Orange Middletown.
Several students from Janice Barth, Julie Palinkas and Diane Trad's art classes had artwork selected to be part of this year's exhibition. Congratulations Carlone Barth, Kaileen Bautista, Ava Dymond, Brooke Gluszak, Ella Hayward, Jackson Hujus, Ella Humphrey, Conor Kilgore, Jazzlyn King, Dominic Licardi, Kelli Lugo, Imie Magdua, Parker Scoville and Jake Thompson.
