Coaches

Instructional Coaches help the teachers and students better understand Common Core Mathematics, Science/Engineering, Literacy and Technology at the Elementary Level.    

We help bring meaning to classroom instruction and help explain the why behind the math the students are learning!  


Trupti Sprowls (Pre k-5 Literacy) Trupti.sprowls@pinebushschools.org

Trupti is a certified reading teacher with a Masters of Arts in Reading from Teachers College, Columbia University. She started her career in Pine Bush School District at Pakanasink Elementary School in 2003. After working as an AIS teacher for 15 years at PAK, she became a Literacy Coach here in Pine Bush.

Christina became a Literacy Coach for the Pine Bush Central School District at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. She attended SUNY New Paltz to obtain both a B.S. in Elementary Education (1-6) and an M.S. ED in Literacy Education (1-6).  After this, she attended Long Island University to complete an  M.S. ED in Educational Leadership   She is certified to teach Literacy Education, birth through sixth grade, and Childhood Education, first through fifth grade. Christina's experiences in the field of education include being a Title 1 Reading Interventionist (K-5), Classroom Teacher, ELA Core Leader, Classroom Teacher, and administrator.

The 2022 - 2023 school year will be Lani's first year as a STEM coach for the Pine Bush Central School District. She has taught grades 3, 4, and 5 at Pine Bush Elementary School for the past 16 years. She has a BA in English Literature from the University of Michigan and a MSEd in Childhood Education from Suny New Paltz. Lani is a resident of Pine Bush, where she lives with her husband Jason Upchurch and their two orange tabbies, Thomas and Nels. 



Aly Callahan (Pre-K-6 Math & Science) Alyson.Callahan@pinebushschools.org

Aly has been teaching in the Pine Bush School District for the past 14 years as an elementary teacher in grades 2 through 5.  The 2022-2023 school year will be Aly's first year as a STEM Coach, focusing on enriching and supporting our math and science curriculums.  She attended SUNY Old Westbury to earn a Bachelor's of Arts in Childhood Education and later attended Mercy College for her Masters of Arts in TESOL.  Aly loves to teach and learn outside of the box and create a fun and engaging atmosphere for both staff and students!
