FAQ

Q: How do I tell which version of the Mac operating system I'm using?

A: Click on the apple menu in the upper left corner of your screen and select "About This Mac" to find this information.

Q: Do I have a managed or non-managed Mac computer?

A: If the computer is owned by Pinckney Schools, the initial software was installed by the PCS technology department, and you use your PCS username and password to log into the computer then it is probably MANAGED. If the computer belongs to LESA or was a personal purchase, it is probably NON-MANAGED. If you are unsure, contact the PCS technology department for help.

Q: What does PUA stand for?

A: PUA is short for "Pop Up Authentication". The PaperCut Client software installed on non-district managed computers uses a technology called Pop-Up Authentication to identify the user. Without going into great detail, we added the PUA identifier to help the technology support all users.
