This innovative course is designed to provide educators with a comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications in teaching and learning. Participants will explore AI-based tools, including intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, and AI-driven analytics that can enhance the educational experience for both students and faculty. Through hands-on activities and guided reflections, participants will learn to integrate AI technologies into their teaching strategies while considering their potential benefits and challenges. The culminating project will involve the development and evaluation of an AI-enhanced learning module [or the equivalent] within the participants' respective disciplines, as well as a draft conference proposal to promote the sharing of knowledge and best practices in AI for teaching and learning. This course description and objectives were entirely created using ChatGPT 4.0 and prior courses as a framework for style and our approach.
