Artist Statement

Through painting and photography, my work unabashedly focuses on beauty as revealed in the limitless, quotidian interaction of light and color.. This has become even more alive and intense during covid, when Nature speaks with a louder voice and offers us gifts daily., Rooted in traditional still life, my work, while sometimes traveling back in time, is also a contemporary exploration of the spirit of the inanimate around us.. More than ever today, my work celebrates the ephemeral, slipping almost tangibly through our fingers, acknowledging it before it passes.
