This document can be used as a standalone resource to explore the key messages about artificial intelligence that can be incorporated into RSHE and online safety lessons to teach children about AI Literacy.
It is split into each phase, and maps AI messages to the Caring friendships; Respectful, kind relationships; Online safety & awareness; and Wellbeing online statements from the RSHE curriculum (version for teaching in Sept. 2026). It also maps to the sections of the Education for a Connected World document (that underpins Project Evolve).
Natterhub provides fun and interactive online safety learning for children. Trusted by teachers and parents worldwide.
Ahead of Safer Internet Day, Twinkl is offering FREE, full access to Natterhub for every single primary school for 12 months!
Two Truths & AI is an interactive digital literacy game for grades K–12 that teaches students to identify AI-generated content and develop critical media literacy skills. Through an engaging, 60-second challenge, students try to distinguish between real and AI-generated movie posters. It's a fun way for students to test their AI detective skills, while also building their critical thinking muscles.
This year's online safety homework focuses on AI (Artificial Intelligence) - 'Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI'. Your task is to create a poster, leaflet, booklet, short video, or animation that delivers a powerful message about AI - its pros and cons. Your project can include top tips, pictures, photos, or even a short story. The homework is due on Tuesday, 24th February 2026.
Feel free to use resources available in J2E, Busy Things, or Google Workspace tools (links can be found on our school website).
The best homework from each class will be showcased during our worship, with the top winner in each class receiving a prize and all participants receiving a certificate! The winners' work will also be published on our school website.

The Be Internet Legends Scheme of Work gives teachers the tools and methods they need to teach internet safety. The materials developed by Google in partnership with Parent Zone enable teachers to bring the most important information – and the excitement of Interland – into the classroom.
Included in the scheme of work are lesson plans for the five pillars, with activities and worksheets designed to complement Interland.

Interland is an adventure-packed online game that makes learning about internet safety interactive and fun – just like the internet itself. Here, children will help their fellow Internauts combat badly-behaved hackers, phishers, oversharers and bullies by practising the skills that they need to be confident online explorers.
Digiworld is a curriculum designed to help children, aged between 5 and 16, to develop the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the online world in a safer and more enjoyable way.
Fun online quizzes, a digital library full of challenges and downloadable worksheets allow children to explore at their own pace and progress through different levels depending on their age, experience and ability. Certificates are awarded at each level to enable children to demonstrate their new understanding and to recognise their achievements.
Young people are growing up in an increasingly digital world, exposing them to both the opportunities and risks of the internet. CyberSprinters empowers them to make smart decisions about staying secure online.
The digital game can be played on phone, tablet and desktop, and is supported by a suite of activities to be led by educational practitioners working with 7-11 year olds. Parents and carers can also try the CyberSprinter puzzles with their children at home!
