SAFER INTERNET DAY 2025 RESOURCES (KS1/KS2)
(Official Website)
Join us live on Safer Internet Day, as we become players inside a fictional Live Lessons game world where nothing is quite what it seems!
We must work together and use our detective skills to spot scams and solve a series of online safety problems.
This curriculum-linked lesson for 7-11 year-olds, created in partnership with Childnet, will encourage young people to discuss and respond to online issues.
The 30 minute Live Lesson will be available to watch live at 11:00 on Tuesday 11 February on this page and on the CBBC channel.
We are delighted to invite your Key Stage 2 students to a fun, engaging and age appropriate virtual LIVE lesson focused on cyber security. In today's digital world, it's never too early to teach children the importance of navigating the online world safely and responsibly. We would also like to highlight the many exciting future careers available in cyber security and the amazing people working behind the scenes to keep us all safe.
Join us on Safer Internet Day, Tuesday 11th February at 9:00am, when our Tech She Can Teacher, Louise, will deliver a virtual 50 minute Tech We Can LIVE lesson for students aged 7 - 11. This will be an interactive session where the children will be guided to complete paper based tasks and partner discussions - they therefore need to be based at a table with a piece of paper and pen/pencil.

The Be Internet Legends Scheme of Work gives teachers the tools and methods they need to teach internet safety. The materials developed by Google in partnership with Parent Zone enable teachers to bring the most important information – and the excitement of Interland – into the classroom.
Included in the scheme of work are lesson plans for the five pillars, with activities and worksheets designed to complement Interland.
The Digital Matters platform uses free interactive lessons and dynamic storytelling to help teachers engage young people in online safety lessons.
Following UKCIS’ Education for a Connected World Framework and created by Internet Matters, Digital Matters covers a range of online safety lesson topics ranging from cyberbullying to fake news to password security and more. It engages children through quiz-style and story-based learning while promoting discussion in the classroom to promote a safer internet.
Six easy-to-follow videos on key online safety messages for parents, carers and professionals to watch together with children aged 6-9 years old.

Interland is an adventure-packed online game that makes learning about internet safety interactive and fun – just like the internet itself. Here, children will help their fellow Internauts combat badly-behaved hackers, phishers, oversharers and bullies by practising the skills that they need to be confident online explorers.
Digiworld is a curriculum designed to help children, aged between 5 and 16, to develop the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the online world in a safer and more enjoyable way.
Fun online quizzes, a digital library full of challenges and downloadable worksheets allow children to explore at their own pace and progress through different levels depending on their age, experience and ability. Certificates are awarded at each level to enable children to demonstrate their new understanding and to recognise their achievements.
Young people are growing up in an increasingly digital world, exposing them to both the opportunities and risks of the internet. CyberSprinters empowers them to make smart decisions about staying secure online.
The digital game can be played on phone, tablet and desktop, and is supported by a suite of activities to be led by educational practitioners working with 7-11 year olds. Parents and carers can also try the CyberSprinter puzzles with their children at home!
