I am so excited to return to another wonderful year at Harmony! This will be my 14th year of teaching and my 6th year at Harmony. I am a graduate of Reinhardt University and have a Master's degree from Walden University. I am certified in general education, special education, and I have the preschool special needs endorsement. My experience ranges from preschool to fifth grade both general and special education.
My favorite quote for school is "Work hard, be kind, and amazing things will happen!" (O'Brien). This is my motto for education and life in general. It is important to teach not just academics, but compassion, work ethic, and help students take pride in themselves and their actions. Developing accountability is key in helping students succeed academically and in other life areas.
I am a strong believer that parents, guardians, and teachers must work together to ensure success for our students. Communication and consistency between school and family plays an important role in encouraging students. If you ever have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me via email, phone, in person, or through notes. I always have an open door and enjoy building relationships for success!
I am looking forward to a great year at Harmony Elementary and working with you and your children!
