Meet Phyl, the artist behind Phyl's Odds & Oddities. Phyl creates spooky, nature-inspired oddities and art — from ethically sourced taxidermy and bone pieces to hand-painted works — and shares them at craft and vendor markets around Chicago.
This is a fun question~ All over! We work with a variety of suppliers to obtain products, as well as legally scavenge. Most of our materials would be scrap or garbage- then turned into beautiful art! We prefer to work with other small businesses in regards to sourcing bones, furs & crafting materials- and in turn have developed wonderful friendships with our suppliers. This way we know exactly where our products are coming from. We also process a lot of our own products as well. Sometimes this is months of painstaking work to get it just right!
