Phoenix College (PC) has been awarded $2,964,968 by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) to accomplish bold, systemic improvements to significantly increase student retention, completion, and grow the number of students who transfer to universities. The funds will be used to build the institution’s capacity to deliver enhanced student and academic services, evidence-based strategic planning, and transformative equity-minded practices.

Deliver academic & non-instructional services in new and alternate modes to facilitate student success:
Expand & integrate student support
Integrate reading and writing curriculum to remove barriers
Fully Implement the Guided Pathways Model in STEM Fields of Interest:
Establish a MESA Program and integrate it into all STEM Departments
Build a portfolio of renewable Work-Based Experiences, make it available to all students
Demonstrate a standard of Data Literacy Proficiency
Support institution-wide training and professional development for faculty and staff to become proficient with data-driven practices
