Yellow Zone

Zones of Regulation

Zones of Regulation is actually a curriculum developed by Leah M. Kuypers, MA Ed., OTR/L. It is used to help us learn how to express and control our feelings in socially acceptable ways. The general idea of Zones of Regulation is adapted here to help students become ready to learn by

  1. First, identify their zone (be self-aware).

  2. Next, if they are not in a green zone, then they would implement a positive coping strategy to get in the green zone.
