Winter Guard

The Penn Winter Guard is a competitive indoor colorguard program that provides students with opportunities to grow as performers through advanced training, teamwork, and artistic expression. The winter guard program serves as an extension of the fall colorguard that performs with the Marching Kingsmen, and students are highly encouraged to participate in both seasons. The program includes a Varsity and JV winter guard, along with a middle school Cadet Guard. Our Varsity team competes in Open Class at IHSCGA state events and at WGI Regional and World Championship competitions, while the JV guard focuses on developing newer or younger performers and competes throughout the IHSCGA season, including Indiana State Finals. 

Auditions are typically held in November after the conclusion of the PMK season, with rehearsals beginning shortly afterward. All winter guard teams compete from late January through April.
