*Concert Uniform Volunteers
We are preparing to fit students for their concert uniforms. Since most of the current uniform volunteers have senior students, we need some additional parents to step up and help this season. Volunteer Opportunities:
1. Uniform Fitting: If you are available during the day, we would greatly appreciate your help fitting the students. Fittings will occur during their band class, which starts at 10 a.m. It will likely take about six different days to fit all the students. You don’t need to help every day, but if you can spare one or two mornings, that would be wonderful. (Please note we do not fit the freshmen bands. The freshmen bands will wear black shirts and pants.)
2. Concert Night Assistance: If you are unable to help during the day, we also need volunteers on concert nights. You will need to arrive early, typically at the same time as your child, to assist the students with their uniforms and address any issues that may arise. At the end of the night, you will help the students return their uniforms and ensure that all have been collected.
Please contact Amy Kuzmic with any questions and if you want to help out. amykuzmic@gmail.com Cell - 312-305-9374

***Concert Uniform Volunteers **

*Raise Right Fundraiser
If your band fee is paid in full for this year, you can continue to earn RaiseRight credit toward your 2026-2027 band fees, fees for new shoes, Pep Band shirts, ISSMA Solo & Ensemble fees, etc. The next physical card order will be placed on November 1st. Place your order by October 31st at midnight! (E-card orders and Ship-to-home orders can be placed at easy time.) Also, consider making use of the online shopping rebates available through RaiseRight for additional credit!
As new members enroll, they may receive an email from me asking for:
The name of the student
Their section (instrument)
Their graduation year
Relationship to the student
Sending this information helps to guarantee your earnings are credited to the right student. Please remember that we limit RaiseRight enrollment to the close family of your student. This is because (in the rare occasion there is an unpaid gift card order) your student’s band account may be charged for any shortfall related to accounts earning for your student. Please only refer folks to our program whom you trust, and do not advertise/share the enrollment code outside of our PMK family. Alice Ramos Ramos806@comcast.net

Good Morning!
Our Carnival of Bands if next week and along with a bunch of volunteers, we need large, disposable plastic containers. Sarah Joswick coordinates the “People’s Choice Awards” (it makes us money!) and needs some more containers. She is looking for the 5 pound containers that you get potato salad or anything like that at Gordon Food Service, Sam’s, or Costco. If we get too many, they won’t go to waste because the Pit Crew often needs containers like this. Please bring them to the barn tonight or next Thursday between 6 - 9 PM.
We still need items donated and lots of volunteers. Please remember this is an “All Hands On Deck” event.

This is a win-win for us and Goshen’s band. They allow us to pre-sell tickets for the Saturday, 9/6/25 Goshen competition for $10 and we get to keep $5. They get 100 tickets sold in advance, 100 of our lucky Band Family don’t have to stand in line, AND we make $5 on each ticket. Awesome! Meghan Pozywio 425-503-6850 pozytivelyknit@gmail.com will have them after rehearsal on Tuesday (around 6:30 PM), Thursday (around 9 PM), Friday at the football game, and Saturday at drop-off time if any are left. The cost is $10 and only cash or check (to Penn Band Boosters) will be accepted because we must turn in the money when we get to Goshen on Saturday.

*CHAPERONES
Hey Parents! We have a few slots left for Chaperones. Here is the SignUpGenius for the entire season. The times for future competitions are estimates as the detailed schedule is released 7 – 10 days before each competition. Please add a note to the sign-up if you have a specific bus preference (ie: Baritone Mom, Color Guard, etc) or not. While we will do our best to get you on your preferred bus, we do have limited seating per bus, so you may have to be flexible and chaperone a different bus. Remember at the end of the day, we are in this for ALL of the kids! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F054EADAC2CA4F49-58249747-chaperones
There will be an organizational meeting on Thursday, 9/4/25 at 8 PM just inside Door C to meet up and discuss protocols. Please plan to attend this meeting even if you can’t chaperone this week as important information will be shared. Also, please make sure your background check is UpToDate.
*****Please remember you MUST have an up-to-date background check on file in order to volunteer. If you do not, you may not chaperone. No exceptions!*****
