At Elm Road, we are incredibly fortunate and grateful for the strong support we receive from our partnerships. The Ladig Foundation has been a proud supporter of our STEM program and school for over a decade, helping us to continuously grow and enhance our offerings. Our community partners and stakeholders play an essential role in providing students with invaluable learning experiences, and their feedback helps us refine and enrich our programs. At Elm Road Elementary, we are committed to providing students with robust STEM career exploration opportunities. 100% of our students engage in career exploration as part of at least 50% of the STEM units they complete. Our My View + Mystery Science Integration highlights the career exposure provided to students. Through programs such as PLTW, Picture Perfect STEM, and Code.org, students are introduced to various career pathways, enhancing their understanding of real-world applications. Additionally, our “Buddies” program, which focuses on employability and collaboration skills, integrates career connections into each lesson, helping students make meaningful connections between their learning and future career possibilities.

Additionally, our Jump Rope Team promotes teamwork, physical fitness, and perseverance. These programs are designed to be accessible to all students, ensuring every child has the chance to participate and grow. At Elm Road, we are committed to providing all students with equitable access to STEM experiences that foster growth and prepare them for the future. Through career exploration activities, students engage with STEM professionals from diverse backgrounds, gaining exposure to a wide range of careers. Our Equity Action Plan focuses on ensuring underrepresented student groups are provided with meaningful opportunities to engage in STEM experiences and explore STEM fields. Enriching experiences such as field trips to Ethos, Soil and Water Conservation programs, and hands-on activities in our STEM Lab further enhance learning. These opportunities aim to inspire every student and build a strong foundation for future success in STEM careers.
