There is no class winter term
SPRING CLASS IS FULL
Being on the list DOES NOT guarantee a spot in the class, it gives a chance to register.
There are always more students on the list than spots for the class.
Those on the list received an email with the registration details and form, once the next term begins accepting registrations.
It is first come first serve once registration forms are emailed out.
MANDATORY PARENT MEETING during the 1st class
COURSE INCLUDES:
PLAYBOOK - Course text for student to keep, read and reference
Eleven (11) 3-hour classroom sessions at Philomath High School - Attendance is mandatory!
Session begins April 5 and runs through June
Sessions are Wednesdays from 3:30pm - 6:30pm
MANDATORY PARENT MEETING DURING THE FIRST CLASS AT 5:30PM
Four (4) 2 - 3 hour behind-the-wheel sessions and the final drive (12 hours total).
Driving and observation will be scheduled during the first or second class. Drives are throughout the term, approximately once every other week.
REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION:
Students must have a Learner’s Permit and physically present it with the registration form to be verified and copied.
Students must not have or get a Driver’s License or turn 18 prior to end of the course. (** There is an additional fee **)
Cost is $275 per student check payable to Philomath High School or you can pay online. DO NOT PAY ONLINE UNLESS DIRECTED TO AND KNOW YOU HAVE A SPOT IN THE CLASS. (Students who qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch Program can receive a $75 discount).
Return the registration form, permit and tuition to Mandy Misner at Philomath High School.
Class enrollment is limited and registration is first come first serve.
Tuition must be paid in full for registration to be complete and the student enrolled in class.
Complete this form to be put on the email list for future terms.
Being on the list does not guarantee you a spot in the class but gives you the first chance to register.
**Eligible students who obtain their license or turn 18 prior to completion of the course will be charged an additional $210, because they no longer qualify for the state subsidy.
REQUIREMENTS FOR COURSE:
Good attendance!! 30 hours of classroom attendance is required and necessary for students to be successful.
ONE PREARRANGED absence is allowed but must be made up the following term.
More than one absence will result in being dropped with no credit.
Three tardies or any tardy more than 15 minutes equals one absence.
No refunds, full or partial, will be given for any reason or for students dropped due to behavior or absences.
PARENTS MUST give the student the opportunity to drive as much as possible. THIS IS HOMEWORK! Students need to get 10 hours of at home drive time during the course. Do not withhold practice time as a punishment. Students MUST practice driving between each drive in the class. The course is only 4 drives before the final drive test. Students need as much practice as possible to make the most of their time with instructors. Student MUST have at least 5 hours of at home driving practice by Drive 3 to Eugene or drive will be postponed until they do.
Be ready to learn! Students should come to class prepared with reading done and ready to learn
SUMMER COURSE INCLUDES:
PLAYBOOK - Course text for student to keep, read and reference
Ten (10) 3-hour classroom sessions at Philomath High School in Room 223
Attendance is mandatory! No exception in SUMMER.
Sessions run 3 days a week for 3 weeks from 9:00am - 12:00pm.
Begins July through August
The first class in July is from 3PM - 6PM. All other classes are 9AM - 12PM
