Learner-teacher Conferences

All learners are required to meet with Dr. Donnelly outside of class at least once per marking period for a brief learner-teacher conference. We will spend around 10-15 minutes reviewing your progress in the course and discussing your learning, interests, and any concerns you may have. You are expected to come prepared with questions, insights, and topics that you would like to discuss.

Here are some questions to ask yourself before we meet:

• What has interested me most in the Social Science class lately?
• What topics do I find confusing, difficult to understand, and/or what do I want to learn more about?
• What are my goals for the rest of the marking period?
• What do I plan to do to achieve these goals? Be specific.
• What could Dr. Donnelly do (or not do) that would support my learning and academic success?

You will be expected to write a brief reflection based on what was discussed during the conference. You are not required to take notes during the conference. The learner-teacher conference and the brief reflection will be graded as a Performance-Based Learning activity.
