Services

Students can sign up for one-on-one instruction by qualified high school musicians. These can be one-time lessons or regular lessons, depending on the availability of tutors. Regular students can choose to be paired with a "mentor" that plays their instrument and will be their teacher continuously. Students are encouraged to sign up regularly for lessons, be it weekly or biweekly.

Our lessons are done through either Zoom or Forte. Forte is a recently developed video platform designed specifically for music lessons. We are slowly transitioning from Zoom to Forte as the studio-quality audio and recording features make it great for our program.

We offer a recording database of techniques and scales for many instruments, made by our mentors to assist students in efficient practice. These recordings can be accessed through the Drive folder on the Database page or our YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@sharingoursound

Teachers and students can request certain pieces/tutorials to be made. These can be as basic or as detailed as the requester desires, and these help to facilitate ease of learning between the teacher and students. Our mentors will work with the teacher to make sure the video is high quality and is finished as timely as possible.
