Grade 6-12 Registration Info:
Schools can only register up to six (6) projects, one (1) project per category for students in grades 6-12. First-place winners move on to the state competition to represent Philadelphia.
Students may participate individually or as a group. A student may submit an individual project and take part in a group project, however the projects cannot be in the same category.
A school-level competition should determine the individual or team project that will represent each category for your school at the district competition.
Project groups can be no larger than 3 students. Groups larger than 3 will be disqualified.
Categories include: 3D Printing, Animation, Logo & Graphic Design, Digital Movie, Programming and Website Design

Sponsor teachers had the ability to run reports with their student participation data. This event will be in person so you will NOT need to upload project elements when completing your registration.
You DO NOT need to upload project information at this time. The final project elements and student narrative should be completed and brought with you to 440 North Broad Street on the day of the event.
Complete the Student Media and Design participation packet for each project and submit it with the elements of your projects for judging on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Projects submitted without a completed participation packet will NOT be judged.
First place winners of the Philadelphia Media and Design Competition will receive additional details regarding the State competition following the award ceremony.

YOU MUST SUBMIT A REGISTRATION FORM FOR EACH PROJECT
If you register more than 2 projects for the same category and grade band, only the first 2 submitted will be accepted
