Our World Music Drumming unit continues in grades 4-5 as we learn, the song Take Time in Life and correct instrument technique for our percussion instruments. Take a look at our expanding collection. We will continue our work on complementary rhythms as musicians work in groups to create their own composition.
While it may look like chaos, these musicians in Grade 6 are hard at work creating Foley to accompany an animated video. Musicians used a variety of found sounds and instruments to present a live Foley performance for class. Our unit on Movie Music will continue with their creation of musical compositions to accompany an animated clip.
Musicians in grades 4-5 will focus on choral singing, ukulele, world music drumming, and a number of musical projects focusing on creativity & music making.
Musicians in grades 6-8 will work on a variety of musical projects this year, ranging from music technology to composition.
