K-3

Welcome back! 

I am looking forward to an exciting year of music-making with your musicians.  Children in grades K-1 will be using John Feierabend’s, First Steps curriculum.  We will use songs, dances, movement activities, and games, to become Tuneful, Beatful & Artful musicians.  With our growing instrument collection, PAS students will have space to explore, create, and perform in class throughout the year. 

Musicians in grades 2-3 will embark on completing the Conversational Solfege program which is geared towards making students become independent music thinkers through songs, games, and a variety of repertoire.   

In addition to singing & music theory, musicians in grades 2-3 will begin ukulele as well as participate in our World Music Drumming curriculum and other percussion instruments.
