Instancy LMS

Getting Started with Instancy

A learning management system (LMS) called Instancy has been introduced for the Office of School Safety at SDP! The system will be used to complete all online learning moving forward. Use the stepper below to log into Instancy through the SDP Hollywood Squares (single sign-on) platform.

Instancy FAQs

Is Instancy taking the new Cornerstone?

No! Although both Instancy and Cornerstone are learning management systems (LMS), Instancy will be used for any training content that is specific to the Office of School Safety. Cornerstone will still be used by the Office of Teaching and Learning to assign any district-wide content (example: Act 126 Mandated Reporter training will be on Cornerstone but an update to Directive 2.3: Search & Seizure will be on Instancy). When in doubt, think OSS = Instancy, SDP = Cornerstone!

How will I know if I have been assigned a course?

Instancy will automatically email you when you've been assigned a new course, when a course deadline is approaching, and when you have overdue content.

HELP! I forgot my login information!

Instancy is accessible through the SDP main apps screen, often called "Hollywood Squares" - this means that if you have forgotten your password you need to either reset your password for the District page or call IT (215-400-5555).

I finished a course....now what?

Unlike previous iterations of online learning within the Office of School Safety, we no longer need to have staff members complete a secondary Google Form to collect attendance. If your course is showing as complete on the "My Courses" and/or "My Progress Report" page(s) then you are done and your attendance has been received!
