The National Honor Society (NHS) is a national organization focused on scholarship, service, leadership, and character. G.W. Carver High School of Engineering (HSES) and Science in Philadelphia hosts a local chapter of the NHS. Our chapter focuses on a number of projects, including community service and a schoolwide peer tutoring program.
Carver's NHS recruits new members in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grade twice each year. Interested students must complete the application below and meet the following requirements:
Must be in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade.
Minimum 3.30 unweighted GPA (do not round up) and Honor Roll last two quarters.
History of service to school or community (i.e., volunteering or helping others).
Demonstrated leadership (in classroom, extracurriculars, or your community) and high moral character (honesty, respect, and reliability).
Applications will then be reviewed by Carver's NHS Faculty Council.
