Central High School’s very first Black empowerment magazine, Afrocentric, is a place to empower Black students and share our voices, words, art, and opinions. Too often, the voices of Black people are stifled and overlooked, so this magazine is meant to magnify them.
We will meet every other Wednesday to discuss a book we have previously selected. This will be a fun opportunity to relax after school, read a wide variety of literature and talk to other people who enjoy reading!
Central’s Calligraphy Club is a club based on organization, enhancing writing skills, note-taking, time management, stress-relief, creativity, focus, and positivity.

Creative Writing Club is a club that provides a community for writers, and provides them with the opportunity to get their work(s) published. Our goal is to be able to publish a collection of short stories by the end of the year. The club's activity include teaching students how to write and structure stories, poems, and help edit their works if they want it to be edited.
Helps Central students compete in interscholastic public forum debate events. Debate team members compete in weekly debate matches held at Central through the After School Activities Partnerships (ASAP) program.
Mirror is the oldest high school magazine in America, established in 1885. It is dedicated to showcasing the remarkable literary and artistic abilities of Central’s student body, and to fostering dialogues related to the arts throughout the school. It is published twice per year, once in the winter and once in the late spring. The Mirror is open to submissions in all genres, including (but not limited to) poetry, short stories, memoirs, cross-genre pieces, photography, collages, paintings and drawings.
Mock Trial is a competition-oriented club in which members can act as attorneys or witnesses. It is writing and speaking-based, and it works to make every member more open to law and public speaking.

The goal of Model United Nations is to address relevant international political conflicts in a respectful and educational manner. The club also prioritizes learning more about the world around us, making connections, improving public speaking, and attending conferences.
Mosaic is Central’s student-run multicultural magazine. We collect poems, photos, art, recipes, stories, and lyrics that represent the diversity of our student body. Our mission is to provide an outlet for students to share and express their cultural background. We hope to spark dialogue and awareness about culture.

The Centralizer is Central High School's student-run newspaper. It offers a platform for students to report on school events, share opinions, and provide news relevant to the Central community. It covers a wide range of topics, including academics, student life, sports, arts, science, and community issues. Through its articles, the newspaper helps keep students, staff, and alumni informed and connected.
The Collective magazine aims to cover a diverse range of topics related to school life. While it will not focus specifically on race or gender, it will address a wide array of subjects pertinent to students' experiences and interests.
