Holiday Shop

Decembers annual Holiday Shop was another great success! This year we chose another great local company, J. Robins. They were able to supply a wide variety of items for students and staff to choose from and find the perfect gift this holiday season. Students had the chance to walk thru and look around, make a list, and budget for each person on there list. Then, shop till they drop!

Thank you to all of our parent volunteers who helped set-up, assist our little shoppers, restock, and pack-up. We can't do it without you!!

Parent Nominations

The Parent Choice Committee would like to recognize the following parents for demonstrating the attributes of CARE (character, academics, relationships and entrepreneurship). Each month, teachers and staff in each academy nominate parents. Once nominations have been submitted, names are placed in a hat and one parent from each academy is selected to be showcased in the monthly newsletter.

Be sure to check the newsletter every month to see if you have been chosen!

We truly appreciate all you do!

Sincerely,

The Parent Choice Committee

Primary:

Shawnell Howie and Jordan DeHonney, parents of Ali DeHonney. They have generously donated for both the toy drive and canned food drive.

They donated over 50 items for the canned drive and several toys. They are always willing to help out with anything that our school is doing!

Intermediate:

Wynona Bey , parent of Rhy'Chiss Bey. Ms Bey is a hands-on mom who is always aware and concerned for her daughters education. It also didn't hurt that she recently sent in pencils for the classroom!!

Prep:

Erin Reed , parent of Padro May. This mom is dedicated to education and her child's academic achievement. She assists in multiple ways to help me strength my practice. such as, pre-watching classroom lessons (screencasts) before I upload them to Google Classroom. Additionally, she is invested in the content I teach. She helps her son study weekly for vocabulary quizzes and uses the vocabulary at home during conversation. She is an outstanding parent!

Ronald McDonald Toy Donation

We did it!!!! Our school collected four large boxes of toys for the Ronald McDonald House! Ms. Dickinson, Mrs. Zuk, and the Micro Society leaders delivered the toys on Friday, December 7, 2018. The staff were so happy to receive the donation! All toys collected will be given to the children of the Ronald McDonald House.

Great job everyone!

I truly appreciate the students, families and staff at PHCSE! Without the help of all of you, this community service project would not have been so successful!

Thank you,

Ms. Dickinson
