Family Interactive Center
What is the FIC?
The Pascagoula School District's Family Interactive Center is a unique, one-of-a-kind learning experience, designed for children of all ages and their families.
The Center provides a wide array of educational opportunities through hands-on activities and resources including flight aviation simulation, Wii sports software, a planetarium with laser light show, iMac computer lab, broadcasting video and editing lab, a wetlands room, block room, TV studio, toy lending library, a science and engineering room, a professional recording studio, sound studio and an outdoor wooden train in addition to a newly renovated air-conditioned gymnasium complete with stage, lighting and sound system for concerts, dramas and other productions and meetings. The Main Street area features a U-Build-It Center, a grocery store, a bank and a fire station. One of the most popular rooms is the Pirate Ship Room where children can set sail on a new adventure.
All rooms are open during Super Saturday events with areas and activities for children of all ages. During the week and holiday schedule, the following rooms are open: Early Beginnings Room, Block Room, Wetlands Room, Pirate Ship Room, Main Street Pascagoula, Toddler Town, Goofy Golf and the playground areas. Our center, while offering a variety of activities, does not have an area and/or activities for children that are middle school or high school age on a daily basis and/or during the holidays. Classes or large groups will need to call the center in advance (938-6418).
