Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reserve and/or visit the center for a birthday party?

No. The FIC does not host or reserve the facility for birthday parties.

Are schools, child care centers and homeschool groups allowed to reserve the FIC for a field trip?

Yes! The FIC can be reserved for field trips.  Please keep in mind that there is limited availability due to other events and activities at the FIC.  Field trips are not scheduled during the regular hours of operations.

School board approval is required and all schools/groups must have proof of insurance.

For more information, please call the FIC office (228-938-6418).

Are other groups (play groups, mommy groups, etc.) allowed to visit the center?

Groups of more than 10 must reserve the FIC.

Since the purpose of the FIC is for parents/adults to be engaged with their children, it would not be the appropriate option for parents or groups wishing to visit or engage with other adults.

Are children older than 5 able to visit the FIC?

No. The FIC is only for children birth to five not enrolled in school.  Children five years old who are enrolled in school may visit the center when school is not in session. The age range reflects the focus on early childhood milestones and engagement.
