Music Room Rules, Procedures, Guidelines and Behavioral Chart 

The Quaver Five: 

1. Be Safe.

2. Be Polite.

3. Be Cooperative.

4. Be Responsible.

5. Be Kind.

Music Room Procedures: 

1. Enter and exit the room quietly in a straight line. 

2. Raise your hand and respectfully ask for permission to get a tissue/germ-x or to throw something away. 

3. Raise your hand and respectfully ask for your pencil to be sharpened. 

4. Follow activity specific procedures. 

Music Guidelines for Success: 

1. Demonstrate respect to others and yourself. 

2. Be responsible with instruments and classroom materials. 

3. Always do your best and have a positive attitude. 

Behavioral Progression Chart: 

BLUE DOT – Reward earned 

GREEN DOT – Right on target 

YELLOW DOT – Last warning 

RED DOT – Consequence for misbehavior 

When Rules Are Not Followed: 

STEP 1 – VERBAL WARNING 

STEP 2 – YELLOW DOT = LAST WARNING 

STEP 3 – RED DOT = TROUBLE 

Possible Consequences for Receiving a Red Dot: 

1. NOTE OR PHONE CALL TO PARENTS 

2. TIME OUT IN THE CLASSROOM 

3. LOSS OF PLAYTIME AT RECESS 

4. SILENT LUNCH 

5. REMOVAL FROM THE CLASSROOM 

Possible Rewards for Earning a Blue Dot:
