Adjudications will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at J.E.J. Moore Middle School. You will be assigned a specific time, in advance, to adjudicate on this date.
When you arrive at J.E.J. Moore, please be sure to sign in at the main entrance.
Parents may wait on site in the designated waiting area. The adjudication process takes approximately one hour for Vocal Music students.
Sheet Music and Accompaniment will be provided on-site for your use.
When the adjudication begins, you will be given explicit directions by the teachers on-site explaining the process. You will be completing a vocal warm-up, 2 prepared pieces (America a capella & your prepared accompanied piece), and a sight reading assessment. Students in grades 5-12 will, before or after their adjudication, complete a music aptitude test in the computer lab at J.E.J. Moore.
Once the adjudication is complete, you will be dismissed through the main entrance to reunite with your parent.
All PAAS Vocal Music candidates will be required to partake in an online audiation evaluation. This will be administered at adjudication and focuses on melodic and rhythmic identification and pattern recognition.
In addition to the audiation evaluation, PAAS Vocal Music candidates in 4th or 5th grade must perform the following for the judges:
"My Country, 'Tis of Thee sung WITHOUT accompaniment
ONE of the five solo pieces sung WITH piano accompaniment
Sheet music, practice tracks, and piano accompaniment tracks for each solo piece are listed below. These will aid you greatly in your preparation. Please select ONE to prepare in advance.
