Visual Arts portfolios must be turned into your PAAS Art teacher by February 9th, 2026.
*Portfolios will NOT be accepted at adjudication, and must be turned in on time, in advance, in order to be considered for the Visual Arts PAAS program for the 2025-2026 school year.
All artwork submitted must be original and completed without assistance.
Artwork that is created onsite will NOT be returned. It will become a permanent part of your PAAS portfolio.
***A signed PAAS Portfolio form must accompany the artwork in your completed portfolio***
ADJUDICATION DAY - Saturday, February 14, 2026, at JEJ MOORE MIDDLE SCHOOL
What to expect on Adjudication Day :
Adjudications will take place on Saturday, February 14th at J.E.J. Moore Middle School. You will be assigned a specific time, in advance, to adjudicate on this date.
When you arrive at J.E.J. Moore, please be sure to sign in at the main entrance.
Parents may wait in the designated waiting area. The adjudication process takes approximately 45 minutes for Visual Arts students.
You will be given a folder containing two pieces of paper that will be used during the adjudication process. These papers will have your name on them, and you will be directed to keep the folder closed until the adjudication process begins.
Pencils will be provided on-site for your use.
When the adjudication begins, you will be given explicit directions by the teachers on-site explaining the process. You will be completing two tasks, a still life drawing and creativity assignment.
When the adjudication is finished, your work will be collected in the folder that was given to you, and this will be added to your portfolio. The work completed during your adjudication will not be returned to you.
Once the adjudication is complete, you will be dismissed through the main entrance to reunite with your parent.
