School's Out for Summer!

One last message from Ms. Weeks:

I hope your musician's summer is off to a good start! I wanted to send you one last message to say thank you. My job as an Instrumental Music Teacher would have not been possible without the support and trust of parents like you. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with your children. I will miss the students of Tulip Grove and Woodmore dearly.

I wish your child the best of luck next year. I hope they choose to continue their musical journey! For my soon-to-be middle school parents, you may need to advocate for your child to ensure they have band/orchestra on their schedule. For parents of rising 5th graders, I know a new teacher can be scary. I've asked the children to greet this next teacher with openness. It may be rocky at first, getting to know and trust someone new, but they have an opportunity to learn so much from the next instrumental teacher. Come September, I hope you will find a way to encourage the rising 5th graders to give the teacher the same chance they gave me.
